Ridiculously busy at work again at the moment. Not got a time to myself at all. Oh well, such is life I suppose. I could do with taking a days holiday – I've got loads of bits I need to do round the house, but it's trying to find the time to do it.

I think I saw our local big cat this weekend. Now His Lordship (who was driving at the time) didn't see a thing and is continually mocking me over the fact I'm so adamant about this.

We were driving down the bypass which has quite a steep hill on it. To the left hand side of the road there's a big hilly field with a pond with an evil tree in the bottom. Running up the hill parallel to us was a black cat that was about 10-15 meters away and must have been at least 3 or 4 times as big as Bilbo (I've seen Bilbo playing in the field at the bottom of our road (about 10-15 metres from my house) and he looks tiny at that distance).

His Lordship is convinced that it was just a normal cat, but not even Taz (the biggest cat I know) was as big as the cat I saw. The cat I saw also had a massive tail that was really round on the end (whereas most domestic cats have tails that taper off at the end).

The actual big cat has recently been spotted ¾ of a mile from my house and running along the motorway near my house last night. The bypass is only a couple of miles from both these sightings.

Continuing my spate of animal stories which make up my post today I have another one:

On my way to work I drive past a lovely grassy bank which yesterday morning was full of little baby bunnies playing (awwwwwww!) amongst the daffodils.

Yesterday evening, driving back from work there was a massive buzzard on said grassy bank eating one of the baby bunnies. Which I got to 'watch' for ages due to their being a lot of non-moving traffic ahead of me.

I know, Circle of Life and all that. But still :(

Also on my drive home (which by the way was at about 4.30 last night) I was joined for about 400 years by a great big barn owl. I've never seen one in the wild before and he was gorgeous. He was flying along a hedge that borders the road (obviously looking for mices and stuff in the long grass).

He was lovely!

Just to let you know the lovely David Tennant (and Catherine Tate) will be on Radio One tomorrow morning with Scott Mills. Listen live or listen again here: www.bbc.co.uk/radio1

Well I was sold as soon as you mentioned the evil tree.

It's extremely evil. Possibly even more evil than the tree that spawned eviltree.co.uk it's in a dip, in the middle of a pond and in the spring when it's misty it looks terrifying. I need to get photos of it in it's complete evilness.

My favourite evil tree near me is completely white, is almost horizontal rather than vertical, lays next to a river and reaches up to the sky in traditional evil tree fashion.

If you can, you must try to get a picture of it for the site (which I must bug the owner into updating)
