Will you do the fandango?

People in certain parts of the UK may have noticed a massive massive thunderstorm on Tuesday. My pop was driving on the M6 by Stoke and he rang me from the middle of the storm saying hail the size of 10p pieces was falling.

The only good shot I managed from a 6 hour thunderstorm, although I did spend a lot of it just sat on my back step watching the lightning. Bilbo was much less impressed though. Unsurprisingly.

Oooh, nice. All we got was the light show, no rain, no cold

Thunder and lightning, very, very frightening!

Ahem! Sorry...

The thunderstorm didn't hit my area until 9.45 pm - and it didn't last 6 hours, fortunately!

Oooh, yikes! Long thunderstorms like that are always creepy.

(We had hail here not too long ago - I'd just finished writing up reports about hailfall in the city, and three hours later I had to navigate my way home through "snowdrifts" of hail that hadn't melted yet. We hardly ever get long-lasting storms, though! Yikes.)

Our thunderstorm adventures started here in plymouth on Monday. Most notably I believe when I was lying on the beach at 3 pm on Monday afternoon and the heavens opened.

Jen --> Not amused.
