Can anyone recommend a a good piece of software that will let me convert .mov files to .mpg/.avi? Annoyingly my digital camera only records in .mov.

I haven't used it myself, but I have been told that XviD4PSP does practically all the converting between video formats that you could ever want.

You can use Quicktime Pro to 'export' a .mov file to mpg. I think so, anyway...
