Initial Thoughts

I've come out of the episode rather cross. Humph.

Why?

I am sad for Rose cos I think that was supposed to be a happy ending and acting it was horrible (and cheesy and predictable as fuck), but I find I care not because OMG they actually did do the Jamie 'n' Zoe thing and WAAAAAAAAAAH. I am crying loads and feel devastated and Ten's emo was actually quite plausible and gutting for once - and all of that was sort of what I required of the ep, really.

I'm overwhelmed by feelings of "what a load of crap that was."

Meh.

I am not happy either. He normally pulls something out of his bottom for the finale.

In fact I am GAH. I need my Five icon to cool down.

The only thing which pissed me off were the parts that were clearly RTD's fanfic with his favourite Mary Sue...

Fortunately there was still awesome in the form of Donna, Wilf, Mickey and others...

Yeah. Doctor 2 could have been better used for a spin-off titled "DoctorDonna Crazy Adventures in Alternate!Earth". I so would have watched that. :)

I'm sorry. I came out with mixed feelings but, overall, I enjoyed myself. Despite the large doses of cheese and pointlessness. :)

Are you going to tell us why? ::curiosity::

I'm seem to have ended up in a minority of people who liked the episode. BUt after the wilderness years of no Who, I am fairly easy to please.

I really liked one part and really hated one part, and in the end, I'm not sure which is going to win.

Aw, I am sorry you are not happy.

I loved it for the hundred happy sappy endings and the hilarious Torchwood casting moments (hilarious in their conspicuousness) but it was bitty, like unimaginative fanfic and a little on the plot lite and just let's leave it nicely tied off while David goes and is Hamlet. It could have been more I think. And now I'm off to watch it again to get the bits that I didn't get last night. And what was on Donna's back? I missed that one.

I felt drained afterwards. Only reason I'm checking LJ is because if I leave it any longer I will have about a million pages to read, and I'm not even a member of any particually busy comms.

I'm . . . the only good thing is that this means we can have David T back at any time in the future. He can be allowed to age etc and still come back. There's that opening for him and Billie to return if they ever want to do that again. But seriously, only good thing left after that episode. Oh and how things are left for Martha and Mickey. I have a lot of questions.
