The continuing adventures in the fabulous world of silversmithing
I've pretty much finished the pendant I started weeks back. In fact it's been done for a fortnight, I've just not got around to posting the pictures. I've got loads of stuff to show off.

First off I mixed up some resin (EasyCast in fact), taking great care to mix for 2 minutes, decant and 2 minutes again (I think the world gets sucked into a black hole if you don't.) I was a bit stingy with the resin dye to start off with as I was worried that it wouldn't set.

As you can see the petals are very pale so I went and added a few more drops of dye. I also had a learning curve with how much resin to put into each petal, you can see that a couple of them are a bit blobby.

And how I ended up. I don't think it looks too bad. Not for my first go anyway. I still need to resin the leaves, but I'll hang on until I do my bigger resin pieces so it's much easier to mix up half an oz of resin rather than 2ml of resin.
When class started again (as it was off for a week due to the half-term holidays) I drilled a hole in it and popped a jump ring on it. It's still a bit sharp on the corners which I need to finish off, then it's done.
