Adventures in the kitchen
March 22nd, 2012 09:47 pmFor Christmas I bought myself a slow cooker. It didn't really get any use until about eight weeks ago when the bookman came in to work and one of his books was a slow cooker recipe book.
It was only £4. An utter bargain.
Well, we've not looked back since. We're probably doing 2 slow cooker meals a week from hotpots to poached eggs. Really the only thing I've not done are steamed puddings and that's only down to my lack of pudding bowls.
His Lordship and I have now got a decent familiarity with our slow cooker so we're starting to cook off-book. It's proper ace fun.
Tonight we did chicken and butternut squash and it was rather delicious. I'm going to start writing down our recipes. Would anyone be interested in me sharing them either here or via my craft blog?
