Hope you all had a brilliant day, no matter how you celebrated it and that you got everything you wished for.

and delivered what looks like a backlog of cards and stuff. So thanks to:

Thank you, you've really cheered me up today, when I was feeling quite down.

I've just spent two hours writing out all my Christmas Cards. I think my hand is broked. Woes. They'll be hitting the post on Saturday probably, so expect them in about a week (oh the post office, and the queue behind me are going to hate me and my 32 cards that are going all over the world.

rivrea, chicklet73 and ill_elle: mysterious amazon packages arrived for me today. I say mysterious because I only opened them enough to pull out the packing slips to see who they were from. :D They are now put away nice and high so that I cannot be tempted by them.

Now I'm going to spread some Christmas cheer.

Oh, I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to the fun and frollicks of Elbow tonight. I may have already seen them once this year (at Leeds) but the Academy in Brum is much more intimate and we'll be able to get snuggled up close.

I need to get some batteries though so I can have a go at getting some nice piccies of Guy and the band.

Because we're enjoying the music of Bury's finest we're missing the Pub Quiz tonight so instead Claire and Hugh are writing their own quiz for us to do in the car on the way home. They've even done a music round and everything, so you lot can have a go at that tomorrow instead :D

I wish I was feeling better though. My head is still killing me, but I think I need a few more days for the antibiotics to start kicking in properly. I don't think the central heating is helping it either so I've turned off the radiator by my desk, see if that helps 'owt.

Hopefully when I get home my winnings from eBay will be waiting for me, I've ordered a remote for Dave the iRiver and the last book in the High Lord Trilogy.
