Y HALO THAR Series Four Spoilers!!!
From today’s Mirror (a bastion of truth and honesty. Well, compared to the Sun it is.)
__kali__: If they’ve not got Jack (or even multiple Jack’s) there, conning someone for ‘Volcano Day’ I will be very, very narked.
His Lordship: I don't get your volcano day comment.
__kali__: In The Doctor Dances/The Empty Child Jack tells Eccles and Billie that to run his cons he uses space junk that just happens to get destroyed by a cataclysmic event (such as Pompeii or the London Blitz) and then he’s all ‘oh well, let me buy you a drink) and seduces the buyers. Pompeii is a favourite of his and he calls it ‘Volcano Day’. Come on, the last time you saw this was probably two years ago. Why have you forgotten??? :p
His Lordship: Ah I see. It does ring bells actually
__kali__: Even if Jack’s just in the background and you just see him in a crowd shot them my heart will be full of fangirl glee, because for once they’re paying attention to continuity. It would be all UNEXPECTED CAPTAIN JACK!!
His Lordship: Don't hold your breath
__kali__: Well, it’s not as if he’s busy with anything else at the moment. :D And he’s only working the thickness of a blackout curtain away. They can green-screen him in, they don’t even have to fly him out.
His Lordship: geek.
if you are staying spoiler free, but are a bit intrigued, it’s just me speculating on a S4 episode with some hopes on what will appear in it. In chatlog form There, now, you won’t be tempted to click if you’re staying spoiler free.
From today’s Mirror (a bastion of truth and honesty. Well, compared to the Sun it is.)
Doctor Who will travel to Pompeii in the days of the Roman Empire in the fourth series next year.
He and new companion Donna, played by actress Catherine Tate, arrive in the Italian city in AD79, the night before the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. In the episode, tipped to be one of the most ambitious yet made, they face the dilemma of whether to warn the people of Pompeii to flee - or leave them to their doom. The instalment will also star The Thick of It's Peter Capaldi as Caecillius.
The cast filmed the extraordinary scenes at Cinecitta studios in Rome, which was turned into Pompeii for a week. Head writer Russell T Davies said: "Arriving in Pompeii marks the start of another exciting adventure for the Doctor and Donna."
Other storylines in the next 13-part run include the Time Lord - played by David Tennant - and Donna meeting crime writer Agatha Christie.

Even if Donna and the Doctor walk down an alley or something, and the camera stays where it is for a few seconds, and Jack and another guy walk past, Jack saying "...fully equipped Chula warship..."
