OMG! Prison Break! ILU
It’s very frustrating being a Prison Break fan in my office as since new!admin left in January no-one watches it apart from me. So I’ve got no-one to squee with or debate the finer points of Michael Scofield. This makes me sad.
[x] I knew that Whistler was a rum sort. There was just something about him. If he was as innocent as he seemed why was his hiding out in a wall? He did appear to be genuinely remorseful that he was going to brick Michael over the head – but you knew that was only because killing Michael would ruin his chances of escaping.
[x] I do wonder if Whistler will last out the series. After all he got Sara killed. (Hey, I can retcon with the best of them – anyway the facts state that if Whistler hadn’t have got himself banged up in Sona, Sara wouldn’t have been kidnapped and she’d still be alive.)
[x] The prison break was actually properly exciting. I enjoyed it muchly. Especially when they got the the ‘bollocks, the sun’s gone in’ moment. Proper heart in throat stuff. Seriously PB’s not been that exciting since the last prison break and that was years ago.
[x] So Susan is a woman of many names. Gretchen doesn’t really suit her though. Bitch Cow!face is much better. And she’s in real cahoots (oh I love that word, as English-speaking people we really don’t use cahoots enough) with that Whistler. I don’t trust her as far as I could throw her.
[x] Bellick’s grief for Sara was so sweet. And it’s not often I refer to Bellick as ‘sweet’. He’s really cut up about it. And he’s probably the only person left in the show who knows Sara better/longer than Michael.
[x] Now that La Cherero’s power is slipping through his fingers like sand I wonder how long it will be before T-Bag ends up as Top Dog. Really, all he has to do is get rid of Sammy – he’s T-Bag’s only real rival. I notice that T-Bag’s lovely blonde highlights have now completely disappeared.
[x] Michael’s still rubbish at breaking out without the other cons noticing. You’d have think he’d have learnt his lesson from last time. I bet you real internets money that T-Bag will escape too when the prison break attempt #2 happens. And possibly Bellick. I wonder if they’ll go back to the sewers, it is an easier way to go than trying to go over no man’s land.
[x] And what’s the story with Mahone? There’s something so, so amiss there. Be interesting to see what happens with that.
8.5/10
I can’t believe that after next week (this week for those of you watching the US screenings) there’s no more Prison Break until NEXT YEAR! But that’s ages and ages away and there may not even be any more because of the writers strike, which makes me sad. (Although I fully support the strike and hope that it does result in something positive for them)
