I've been invited to a 30th Birthday party in a couple of weeks. It's fancy dress. The theme is "I wish I was..."

I've had a brilliant idea. In fact I'm quite shocked at the brilliance of it.

My costume is very simple. In fact all I need is some special shoes.

Well technically not shoes.

My wish I was? "I wish I was a little bit taller" - (Skee-lo)

Yup. I'm going in stilts.

There may even be some stilt fighting. Brilliant!

I wish I was a baller

That is BRILLIANT. I love that song. :D

And bonus stilt fighting...couldn't get any better than that!

Stilts, yay! I hope you have fun at the party.

The laziest costume anyone on my flist has invented so far is to stick a silver H on their forehead and go to a skiffy themed party as a Red Dwarf hologram. Apparently, two people tapped him with their fingers and then said, "Ah, hard light, series 6." Hee!

Very cool! I hope there will be photos!

I once went as 'your typical everyday nutty teenage kid in America' - a total misquote from Empire Records. The cheat being that I looked about the same as usual!

My hubby did that too. I have pictures of him with a lipstick H on his head. Bless him.

I'm hoping that someone else has the same idea so I can stilt fight with another stilt fighter. Of course I need to find stilts made for people who aren't 4-6

Well I have power jumpers that were £135 and though way cool and bouncy are probably a tad expensive an investment for a party. If you want adult weight ones, it may be useful to look at builders stilts cos I bet you can get them on ebay.

I'm going to abuse my work power and see if I can have/buy some off-cuts of wood and I'll make my own with some nails

What fun! I should hold a party like that. I must think of a good reason for it.
