During my placement the one thing I really dreaded, more than pinning down and injecting badgers, more than taking bloods, more than catching an angry eagle - was giving a cat a tablet. Even the vet nurses had real trouble with it. The damn animals are so slippery somehow.
For something that manages to stick to you so very well when it wants a cuddle, they sure can make themselves scarce when it's something to be shoved down their gob.
