My Londo is an adorable cat, loves fuss etc... but when it comes to the V-word, he turns into a hissing-dervish! It's not the visiting, nor other animals... it's the B O X.
As for ikkies... Vikki is nearly 17 years old. She suffers badly from moulting, so at least once every other day she throws up. Plus she's bullemic! She'll eat as much as she can, thenn throw it up again... ~Sigh~ then back to the bowl 5 mins later... So when she does that, we keep tissues handy to TRY and catch it. At 17, it's not worth getting much done medically for her...
