Yay, It's Saturday night and I've got crap* telly to watch again!

Robin Hood
[x] This is going to be Robin Hood, the CAPSLOCK years isn't it?
[x] The misty shore and the boat at the start reminded me very much of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.
[x] I don't remember any massive cliffs like that in Nottinghamshire.
[x] When Much was in the dungeons my first thought was "ooh [livejournal.com profile] steviesun is not going to like that." I'll have to check my flist to see if I'm right. :)
[x] Will they start developing superpowers post-eclipse?
[x] My sister will be very pleased with bonus Lee Ross, she lurves him!

Primeval
[x] I miss Stephen :(
[x] Why is shadowy corners of our government never up to any good?
[x] I very liked the conceit of the Sun Cage. They're dead clever them t'Gyptians.
[x] About half an hour in it really did strike home just how wonderfully silly this show is.
[x] Will we be getting Pegasus's, Unicorns and a trip to Candy Mountain this series?

I also saw the first episode of the Mentalist today. I tried to explain it to His Lordship as what would happen if Derren Brown was in the police. I'm quite taken with it and shall certainly be Sky+ing it. Oh and Michael C Hall was being interviewed on Radio Two yesterday. He's very sweet and also S3 of Dexter is back at the end of next month, it's like an early birthday gift from FX. Woo!

*your mileage may vary here. I however love 'em both.

People with Sky+ boxes a question: when your disk gets down to 1% does the box start deleting stuff that's been viewed but not deleted? Because I've had a half-watched episode of Animal Park just vanish along with some other stuff which had been viewed. Naughty box. :(

Oh, and in Panto news I rang the theatre and am waiting for their group bookings peep to give us a call back. More news hopefully on Monday.

I do not know the answer you the Sky+ question but it makes me feel better to know I'm not the only one struggling with space on it. I find too many things had to delete. :(

OMG I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT PRIMEVAL!!!

Oh I'm so depressed.

My Sky+ box never keeps its signal long enough to have that much stored on it so I can't answer your question

yep the sky+ box zaps your stuff (seemingly quite randomly) if you try to over stuff it.

I really enjoyed The Mentalist - it's the one plus point of being under the weather - you catch up on stored/saved/'acquired' tv. And I haven't got a tv guide for this week so I'll have to get Robin Hood on the iPlayer.

It should only delete stuff if you leave the box to manage the disk space on it's own. Set it to manual and it shouldn't delete stuff. You'll find that in the Sky+ settings menu i think.

Though i find my SkyHD box tends to slow down if i have too much crap on the hard drive (crap being eastenders etc). So i go on regular deleting sprees that annoys my sister.

That's quite a good description (except Simon Baker is WAY yummier than Derren Brown!). I love that show.

Myself and my two blokie bloke mates sat down and ripped Robin Hood apart. I love the fact that they appear to live in a medieval theme park.
