If it was me having my five thousand pounds bet on the wheel, I would have just burst into hysterical laughter when it didn't work. Three reasons: 1) It is likely to be a stitch-up. 2) Even if it's not, Derren'll be able to pay me back. 3) I was NOT expecting the failure.
Also, he has apparently been spending a year furiously obsessing over lottery numbers AND spent the SAME year furiously obsessing over the roulette wheel. Doesn't this show have continuity editors?
