Writer's Block: Beware the clown puppets!!

I had the classic Clown!fear, I was absolutely petrified of them as a child. (Which is why I cheered at that episode of Buffy when Xander punched the clown).

Also beards. My Dad went away on a course for a week when I was about 4. When he came home he'd grown a wispy beard thing. It made me cry and cry and cry. (Not the reaction he was after I don't think). I think this stems from the fact I was scared of Kenny Everett. Now that is an irrational fear.

My inbox count has been stuck at 1923 for about a fortnight now. Rubbish. I will have to open a support request I think.

antumbral makes a really good post over on Dreamwidth about the new affliate mining code LJ have implemented with instructions on how to opt-out.

Does anyone know of a script or something we can put into our custom layout layers to block LJ from redirecting links for people who haven't opted out (i.e. people who read your journal but don't have an LJ account) because there's some awful privacy issues around every link that is HOVERED over being sent on to a third party.

Adventures in a place away from home

The weekend before last we headed down to Wiltshire to visit His Lordship's Bezzie Mate, his wife and their little baby (aww.)

Because the weather was so nice on the Saturday we went to visit Lacock. Some of you may recognise it from such films as Harry Potter and the One with David Tennant In and Harry Potter and the Last One. We didn't actually go to Lacock Abbey (aka Hogwarts) as it was something like £6 for an adult.

Best part of theday was having my first 99 ice cream in over a year. It was delicious and flakey!
