[x] seeing the Decemberists tonight at the Wolves Civic. Very excited. Going to be a lot of lovely fun. I luff them.

[x] SWEENY TODD TRAILER. Alan Rickman! Johnny and HB-C trying to outdo each other with big hair! singing! Oh be still my heart.

[x] Had to run through town to catch the train today. My face was so hot and red I could have heated an average sized house with it. Woes. I am so unfit.

Oooh, that trailer looks superb. The story is gruesome but with those actors in it I really want to see it. Plus, as the previous commenter said, Johnny singing!!!

Thanks for the link to the trailer. It looks visually stunning, but I'm still worried. From that I'd say Johnny can't sing, but he talked his way through that song relatively well, but there are others that require a bit more than that. I LOVE that they have the chair. I always thought that was an ingenious part of the musical so I love that they have it in the movie. I'm disappointed that Anthony wasn't in the trailer. I love his and Johanna's story (and the songs they sing). I really hope they don't cut out their romance because of time constraints.

The Sweeney Todd clip is remarkable...lifted the hair on my arms. I'll withhold judgment on the singing; it sounds as if Depp actually *can* warble, but perhaps not with Len Cariou's bravura.
