kalihaYes, I am only just getting around to watching Ashes to Ashes. Mainly because I am made of fail.
Thank you BBC iPlayer for helping me in my time of need. ILU and the unique way the BBC is funded.
[x] Ford Escort adverts being voiced over by the E4 voice-over chappie is ever so surreal.
[x] Would you really get marched through a jail in order to get to the visiting room?
[x] Oh dear god will someone pull up the shoulder of her top in the opening credits. It's really starting to annoy me.
[x] Love the fact the Gene Genie is enjoying a nice game of arrers. There really should be more dartboards in offices.
[x] Gingham shirts! Fashionable (for the time) gingham shirts.
[x] Alex: "I want Ray."
*Ray looks surprised*
Gene: "I can grow myself a moustache but I draw the line at a perm."
ILU Gene! Although I'm sure you'll say something that makes me hate you in just a moment.
[x] Surrealist moment of the show, Alex, in a pink tank, taking out a Ford Escort.
[x] You're investigating a murder that hasn't happened yet?
[x] Poor Chris all banged up
[x] Bad, bad Alex picking up nasty habits from Gene.
[x] Oh Shaz, you were my favourite construct too!

[x] Alex, you're turning down the Gene Genie? Are you dead or something? Oh, wait...
[x] Scary Sleepless in Seattle Clown is scary.
[x] Care in the Community. ha.
[x] Gene rouses the troops in the way he knows how. Although I still can't get the thought of him sizzling like a sausage out of my head.
[x] Tim turning into Scary Clown was scary
[x] And she couldn't save them.
[x] Aww Gene was comforting Baby!Alex. That's actually amazingly sweet.
[x] The chap playing Tim has been to the William Shatner School of Acting, no?
[x] "I was everywhere Bolly, I was needed and I was there." I'm calling that as my proof that Gene and co appear to police officers in need and where they go (the past) is a sort of pergatory.
Alex isn't doing so well in her past as Sam did. At least Sam managed to save the girl in the red dress from his childhood. You'd think, knowing all the rules, she'd do a bit better with herself. But nope.
A slightly depressing 6/10
