Prison Break! Prison Break!

kalihaSometimes, just sometimes, Sky One, (or Sky1 as you now appear to be called) I really love you. I love the fact I'm watching all-new Prison Break less than 24 hours after it's been screened in the US.
In fact it makes me do this: *\o/*
And not only was it a new episode, but a double episode of that. Nearly two hours of breaky goodness (oh be still my beating heart).
A review broken into little chunks:
Timey Wimey Prison Break
[x] So all of series three took place in three weeks and a week's past since Michael drove off into the sunset. Blimey. Felt like loads longer than that.
Sona
[x] Bit rubbish that it got burnt down on screen and a complete improbable LOL at the fact all the cons escaped in the confusion, including Bellick, Sucre and T-Bag.
[x] Sad that we didn't get to see T-Bag being all Top Dog in the prison (although I'm quite positive he got the inmates to burn it down)
T-Bag
[x] He's still my favourite non-Michael character. I can't help it. I want to hate him so, so much but I think he's great. (I will be disowned by![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
amybrown for saying that).
[x] I can't believe he ate a Mexican though! That made me go o_0
[x] And lost the money. What a foo'
Bellick
[x] Loved the fact Bellick's mum came to collect them from the border. She'd come all the way from Chicago for her little boy.
[x] Bellick is a rubbish getaway driver.
[x] Looking at him now and watching the old series 1 episodes it's hard to believe that he's the same character
Mahone
[x] Poor Mahone, he gets absolutely no luck at all does he.
[x] I wonder how long it will be before he goes postal and heads off on a Falling Down style spree of violence?
[x] I liked his mad skillz when they were trying to figure out how to hunt down Scylla. It's been a while since we've even seen a glimpse of the Top investigative agent he once was.
Sucre
[x] MarieCruz's sister is an utter cow. I can't believe that she sold Sucre down the river.
[x] Sad that him and Michael had absolutely no scenes together. I miss the double act they had.
Gretchen and Whistler
[x] I DIDN'T see that coming for Whistler although I suspected that it wasn't the end we'd seen of Gretchen. Although now we won't have to put up with our ears being assaulted by Whistler's god-awful Aussie accent.
[x] I wonder if Gretchen will end up switching sides?
Sara
[x] What's in the box? Not Sara obviously.
[x] I' m glad she's back though. And she finally got to have some good snogs off Michael. I may have done a little squee and I don't even have any shippy tendancies in PB.
[x] I want to know how she escaped though, this has been quite glossed over so far.
Lincoln
[x] Is it too much to ask for a happy life for poor Lincoln?
[x] At least LJ's been left with a babysitter, so we won't have to worry about him for about 12 episodes.
Michael
[x] I am very emo about all the tats being lasered off. (Although seeing them is nothing more than a vague memory as he's been all long shirts for about three years. Apart from that one time last series that made me do a squee and tellamybrown the good news even though she was in Australia.) And also OUCH!
[x] And his nosebleed and headaches are massive old anvils that it's not going to end well for Michael Scofield.
[x] My prediction: brain hemmorage and dies in Sara's arms in the last episode of this series, having brought down the Company. He still won't have slept with Sara though. Let's see how close I am in 20-odd weeks time.
The Heist
[x] it was all very Ocean's Eleven in its convolutedness. I rather enjoyed it. Especially the bit where Bellick had to do some running. That was funny.
[x] Is it going to be like every week?
In Conclusion
I think it's been a return to form. I was completely gripped by the episode. Honestly shocked by some of the plot twists (I think it helps that I'm not in PB fandom at all)
a yay-filled 8/10!
