Little Big Planet has now been pre-ordered. You will not see me for about a month when it first comes out because I'll be cocking about on it so much.

[livejournal.com profile] casirafics linked to two brilliant LBP beta test levels and this is why I want the game, look at the stuff you can do!

Build a calculator! (Wait until the camera pans out at the end OMG!)
Make music, literally with the levels (I want to dress my little Sack!Girl as Lulu please.)
Plus it's narrated by Stephen Fry, who, by all accounts thinks it's quite brilliant.

In other gaming news I had a dream last night that I had a SingStar party round my (suddenly massive) house and Matt Bellamy was there having a sing-off to Supermassive Black Hole (sadly not available in rl on SingStar) against His Lordship and his brother. Matt Bellamy lost. I was so shocked I actually woke up. God's honest truth.

And on the subject of SingStar they've released two Queen songpacks, including such gems as Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions and I Want to Break Free. In regards to the last song, I hope to be seeing many videos on SingStar Online of blokes in drag with fake moustaches and vacuum cleaners.

Got my watch parts off eBay today, soon be be seen in another jewellery making project. Won't have time to do anything before the weekend though.

I have been watching a fair bit of telly too. Mainly because the Sky+ box is down to about 3% free. Woes.

Fringe 1x01
[x] In my head I'm still referring to Joshua Jackson as Pacey. Sorry. I can't help myself.
[x] JJ Abrams has some serious issues regarding planes.
[x] the goriness of the first ten minutes really turned my stomach. I was fine with see-through blokey though.
[x] Love the visual conceit of having the placename graphics 'in' the scene, Fincher-style
[x] Not too much technobabble.
[x] The conspiracy of 'the pattern' reminded me rather strongly of what the Company are up to in Prison Break

In Conclusion
I liked it. I'll definitely give it another watch next week. It didn't grip me right from the start like Lost did though.
8/10

Merlin 1x03
[x] Still massivbely stupid, but the out-of-place touches aren't bothering me in this like it does in Robin Hood.
[x] Typical that it's a Slater causing trouble though
[x] Camelot may be a silly place but they have really nice dungeons, with really flimsy wooden doors.
[x] What is that giant chess piece in one of the corridors though???
[x] Merlin is massively dim though. Massively so.
[x] Oh and Bonekickers? THAT is what a series of cave should look like, not the glittery monstrosity you had. *tuts*

In Conclusion
Well, it saves me getting up after Strictly finishes...

Buzzcocks
[x] Simon's lost his comedy powers with the loss of his beautiful curly hair :( I was so horrified about it that I had to take a photo on my phone to text to His Lordship so he could understand how horrifying it was.
[x] Mark Ronson is a brill producer but a rubbish team captain
[x] the tribute to the mighty Bill made me laugh, a lot. If you've not seen it hunt it down on youtube.

The Beautiful People
Absolutely awful. Why does this sub BBC Three crap keep getting commissioned? Why?

Big Cat Week!Live!Diaries
[x] Maybe the two missing cheetah cubs are living it up in the BBC hospitality tent?
[x] it's really freaky to see the big cats arsing around and sleeping in stupid positions just like what Mr Bilbs does.
[x] A question for the more knowledgeable people on my flist: what are the little mounds, so useful for Shakira that dot the plain?
[x] Bilbo hated the cheetah fight :(

want. Queen. SingStar. stuff.

(Also, must eventually remember that your LJ always crashes on this iPhone and that style=mine might be a good idea. ;)

Ooh, blimey. I wonder what is causing it to crash your browser? I'll have to go and poke the code with a hammer.

Queen +SingStar is quite brill. They're doing ABBA next. Which I am less enthused about.

Is this the right time to mention I've been playing the LBP beta? (Stephen Fry is just utter perfection for this game!)

I have to say I'm enjoying Merlin in a BBC family drama kind of way. Fits in just nicely before or after Strictly.

And the mounds the cheetahs use are termite mounds :) At the mo I'm watching the webcams and the lions are, surprise surprise, sleeping in silly positions. These webcams are actually really addictive - had them on my PC all day and I've seen an exciting variety of wildlife :D

OMG! I am massively jealous. Although when I only have access at the mo to a PS3 for a couple of hours a week it hardly seemed worth it.

Ah, termite mounds. Now I feel edumacated. I am sad that I can't get on to the webcams at work, anything that is actual fun like that is all blocked :(

I am such a font nerd that this is one of my favorite things about the show. Is that bad?

lol Merlin is indeed "massively stupid", it's so fun though. <3
And Arthur is hot even though he is rather a twat.
