ElJay was apparently hit by a DDoS attack this week.
I have seen pictures of Ewan McGregor in Angel's and Demons. Oh my word. :D He may be enough to tempt me to sit through a Tom Hanks film (I'm still of the opinon that Viggo Mortensen would be much better as Langdon.)
I heard Jack White and Alicia Keys' Bond!song today. It is absolutely awful. The only good thing about it is the very very start before the singing and the last minute and a half is atrocious. I'm a bit miffed that I'm going to have to sit through it when I see the film next week.
You really can buy anything theses days: Hello Kitty wedding dresses and evening gowns anyone?
After the lulz of yesterday's pet Halloween costumes: how about dressing up the kids?
And I'm reminded why I think Russell Brand is a bit of a cock. It's interesting to note that there were initially only 180-odd complaints. It's only escalated into 27,000 thanks to all the news coverage. And most of them probably never even heard the phone messages, either when it aired or on Listen Again. *headdesks* Andrew Sachs is a complete gent though.
Our justice system prove that even though you've left people brain damaged you won't get punished, instead you'll be released from prison three months into your sentence. (Mind you most prisons now are even more cushy than my house. Free Xbox's? or Playstations? Food and accomadation all paid for. It's no wonder a percentage of out prison population can't wait to get back inside.) [/Daily Mail rant] (And I'm not just mouthing off there, my friends works in a prison and is highly annoyed that the inmates have so much nice stuff.)
Oh, and for the record I don't mind Loud Twitter posts on my flist. Although I have a Twitter I don't follow anyone on it so it's nice and easy to have Twitter posts on my flist. And if I don't want to read them I just scroll. I really don't get the vitriol about them. *shrugs* In fact, I'm pretty much in agreement with those on my flist who have been saying that the rants about Twitter are more annoying that the Twitter posts themselves.
Just had a text from a family member: "OMG! The One Show has just spoilt Little Dorrit for me, damn them all the hell!" Bless. Do we still spoiler cut for 100+ yr old novels?
Come on Weather Gods, bring me the mooted 3 inches of snow so I don't need to go to work tomorrow. Please?
And a meme to finish (via

If you are reading this, post a picture of a cat in your journal. (Your cat, a lolcat, or someone else's cat. But preferably yours, if possible.)

Bilbo and a LOLcat all in one. Hoorah!

Date: Wednesday, October 29th, 2008 07:53 pm (UTC)Given the "spoilers" comments about Hamlet, I'm really not surprised about the spoiler complaint over Little Dorrit!
