I've been saving Being Human whilst trying to persuade His lordship that this is a show he really needs to see. He was a bit hesitant at first, mainly due to prior history with Torchwood but he was in love in the end of the first episode. This makes me very happy as there are very few programmes the two of us watch together (QI, Harry Hill, Lost, FotC.)
Please don't spoil me for any further than that, else I will cry.
[x] I'm glad we finally have an Irish vampire who can do a proper Irish accent. Angel, please take note.
[x] Mitchell is also very pretty.
[x] What is it with his love of fingerless gloves? (Him and Connor are the only people on telly who seem to love them so)
[x] And why isn't Annie more incorporeal? Mitchell and George both spend a lot of time giving her hugs. But it would be nice to have a ghost who does the washing up.
[x] On the subject of George, does Russell Tovey have it written into his contract that he shows his arse in every episode?
[x] Episode two got extra bonus points due to use of real old-skool Muse in the form of Showbiz, not even a single release. I did name that tune in two though. I'm slipping.
[x] Oh and has anyone else noticed how the kitchen window in their house doesn't actually match the outside?
And I'm really, rally loving Lost this year too. Lots of chat about it at work on a Monday and a Tuesday. We're conspiracy theory-crazy at the moment.
Where's my 'crap'1 Saturday evening telly? Merlin's finished, Demons' finished and there's no sign of Primeval and Robin Hood. Thank God for the BBC's Dance Fever style show for Comic Relief.
Because after the wonder of Robert Webb in a sequinned leotard, we've now got Keith Lemon and Paddy McGuinness's quite brilliant rendition of Time of my Life. I sat there on Saturday watching it with a massive grin on my face.
Brilliant.
Other Telly I have been enjoying:
Whitechapel: Rupert Penry-Jones reminds me of Daniel Craig. A lot.
Storm Chasers: well it's the closest I'm ever going to get.
Heroes: it seems to be picking up. I'm sad that this is only due to the cancellation of the awesome Pushing Daisies though.
Still have to catch up with Moses Jones, Bones, Chuck, Pushing Daisies (which I'm dragging out to make it last that little bit longer) and Law and Order. Just not enough hours in the day.
1 I love them, not everyone else agrees. YMMV and all that.

Date: Monday, March 2nd, 2009 09:42 pm (UTC)I agree with you though - what is with the arse shots? The tail - I mean sheet - between the legs in episode 1 when he blames it on a stag party is pretty funny though.
I am not sure that it will fly if they try and air it on BBC America as nudity on TV is pretty much an innuendo in the states.

Date: Monday, March 2nd, 2009 11:59 pm (UTC)I've now missed two sessions of the BBC and Comic Relief dancing thingy (I'm not totally aware of what it is) so I may write it off as a lost cause.
And am I missing Storm Chasers again? Damn.
P.S. Moses Jones is good too. Bones is being trying, but they are going for a 26 or 27 ep season this year.
