One of BBC's popular dramas almost didn't finish its recent series. Two of the actors - one blond, one dark, decided to forget their previously hetero lifestyles, wives etc, and started a passionate affair. This wasn't the problem. The problem occurred when the two lovers fell out. And refused to appear on set together. Production had to shut down. Eventually the boys showed enough intelligence to agree to see out the series, until one could be killed off.

What series could this possibly be?

Erm, New Tricks, Holby City (or is that classed as a soap?), Waterloo Road, All the Small Things, No 1 Ladies Detective Agency, The Street. I can't think of any more on top of that.

Not yet, but Guy (Armitage) hasn't been in it for a few weeks and Robin (Jonas Armstrong) quit at the end of the series (and as the main guy in the show it's likely he'll be getting killed off).

No, it's never Robin Hood. Although Armitage does wear bad pleather pants in it doesn't he. Maybe it's too much for Armstrong.

Also, isn't Armitage a rather mysterious bachelor? Noooo!
