I've just had a really put-out text from His Lordship who has just been asked for ID in ASDA when he bought a couple of bottles of booze.

He's 32 and looks it.

Mind you, I got mistaken for someone who was in the 16-19 age group, when I was 35. Some people are just useless at knowing ages!

I loved getting carded a couple months ago, seeing as I was about to turn 40. The cashier said they're told to card anyone who looks 35 or younger. Hell, I'll take 35!

I started getting asked for ID (not for booze, but at the bank) when I was 13, and naturally didn't have any.

I stopped getting carded for booze (here in the US, where you have to be 21 to buy) when I was 26. Woe.

I hope it's just that I've always looked 35, and as I reach and pass that age, I'll continue to look it...

I am constantly carded, and I will be 33 in 2 days.

The secret is that I have good genes. My mother, grandmother, uncle, and one of my aunts all look about 10-20 younger than their actual age. Also, I have no kids, and as Mom reminds us constantly, we're the ones that caused the grey hairs. ;)
