Just watched the weather forecast. They've said it's going to be -14•c round my way tonight. I've never experienced such nippy weather. Brr!

It's going down to -8 C here tonight. THIS IS TEXAS! The windchill's going to be -15 C. HOnestly, our house isn't built for this. We stapled comforters over 2 of our picture windows.

I'm so tempted to do that with our living room window. So far I've been round the house putting sealant round the window frames where they meet to walls to try to prevent any errant drafts.

My central heating hasn't been off since Christmas. I'm not looking forward to my next gas/electricity bills.
