I have a new series that I’ve fallen in love with (which is a bit problematic as I already watch way too much telly and I don’t have enough hours in the day to keep up with what I’m
watching at the moment. My poor generic hard disk recorder is down to about 13% and it’s
one of the big storage HD ones too.)
So, flicking through the various Sky channels a couple of months back (as I like to get my
money's worth) I caught a glimpse of a certain Mr Nathan Fillion. It's always nice to see him on the telly so I stopped to see what he was in and it was an advert for Castle. So I got it on the series link and have only just gotten around to watching it. (I’ve been up before 6 every day for the last couple of weeks so after baby!breakfast is done we settle down to watch it.)
I think I may be in love. Mad squishy love, in fact.
It’s filled the gap in my Cop/Non-cop team fighting crime and looking good that's been left
since Bones finished. I’m just a bit sad that a) it was only 10 episodes long and b) the second series isn’t on Alibi until September. It ended on a cliffhanger and I need to know what happens next! OMG!
In other TV-related news, my sister’s boyfriend was a very good boy and bought my sister
Prison Break series 4 on DVD for their anniversary.
(My sister was at Uni while it was on Sky and every week I had to Sky+ it and save it for her until she came back. She watched the whole thing in two days round my house) My sister
was having a rewatch and it got to the last episode with the conclusion to everything and that terrible last scene with the beach and the reunion (and you thought the conclusion to Lost was bad) and it went to the credits. And Sky said (when it was on Sky) that it was the last episode. There was no more.
My sister than realised that she had another disk in her boxset. Took a look at it, and
discovered ANOTHER TWO EPISODES! It appears that Sky finished two episodes early. Damn you Sky! My sister’s watched them and she’s dropped round the disk so that I can watch them over the weekend. She says that it’ll make me less angry about the 'ending' of the series.
We shall see, we shall see.
(In fact, if ex-Cheddar wakes up at 4.40am again tomorrow morning I'll probably watch them then.

Date: Sunday, July 4th, 2010 08:54 am (UTC)Also, isn't it just the most fun? It's so nice to see a detective that's not an alcoholic/maverick, a family that is [mostly] well-balanced and Nathan Fillion on a weekly basis *g*
The second season is a full 22 episodes and even better. If you've seen Firefly, you'll love Vampire Weekend, which has a great visual reference. (If you're wondering how I know, let's just say that I acquired the episodes *wink*).
Impatiently waiting for season three!

Date: Sunday, July 4th, 2010 09:08 pm (UTC)I would acquire the episodes through other means, but at the moment I probably wouldn't get to watch them until it was on alibi anyway so I'll just wait and save my bandwidth.
