[x] I really liked the wallpaper in the therapist's office. Sorry I should be paying more attention to the actual plot and stuff shouldn't I? Sorry.
[x] Martin Freeman: a man who always knows where his towel is. And his handgun.
[x] I like the little on-screen texts - it's a really nifty little technique. And I like the fact Holmes signs his texts. I know no one in the real world that does that. And it amuses me greatly.
[x] I like Holmes' slightly mad skientist demeanor. And beating up a dead body with a riding crop is certainly a singular way to introduce your main character. I do rather like Benedict Cumberbatch - partly for his awesome name.
[x] Mrs Hudson is slightly less scary than Marsha. Are Holmes and Watson the new generation of 'professional couple'? Will they use a tank to woo back Mrs Hudson when they piss her off so much she moves in with her daughter?
[x] Ooh deduction! It's like a more swish version of Jane from The Mentalist crossed with Derren Brown, only using their powers (mostly for good.
[x] I'm loving the set design in this: the flat and it's amazing flock wallpaper, the wrought-iron Victorian stairway at the murder scene, oh my. Yay for the set designers and the location peeps.
[x] Mysterious ringing public phones, after watching Phonebooth I'd never answer a ringing public phone.
[x] Does Gatiss think he's Steele or something? All he needs is the hat. He's ever so creepy, he does creepy posh English bloke so very well. Yay Gatiss (etc etc). Can you imagine Christmas's in the Holmes household with him and Sherlock? No wonder their Mum is so narked off.
[x] Nicotine patches! It's a little bit more modern than opium or a massive old pipe.
[x] I loved the Taxi chase. But really, can anyone jump around off buildings? Everyone in telly seems to be doing it nowadays. Does RADA run a free-running training course or something?
[x] And the payoff with the pills and in the science lab was rather fun, but continuity-wise didn't match up with everyone else's deaths. They had bottles with three pills in, not a single pill and the way they were staged made it seem less like a game of chance, but I don't know if this was done on purpose to throw us off the scent or an actual continuity mistake.

So, all in all I've liked both re-imaginings of Sherlock Holmes.

Looking forward to next week!

I noticed that all the other victims had more than one pill in their bottle, and wondered about it...

(I do sign my texts, sometimes!)
