I find
Robin Hood so much more enjoyable if I think of it not as historical fantasy but as futuristic fantasy and it's not actually medieval England but some far-distant Pern-like planet where everyone's gone cod-medieval because it explains away all the anachronisms so neatly.
And all the geographical errors.
For example. This week they visited Clun. The only Clun in the country is in Shropshire (and it has an ace pub there) As you can see it's a little bit out of the local Nottingham area. (Clun is the blue marker on the left, Nottingham on the right)

Also, turquoise in the forest? Not the best camouflage colour. Does Marion want to get picked off by one of the Sheriff's soldiers?
