How can you cancel Primeval and leave it on such a cliffhanger? That's just mean.

Because ITV are idiots and apparently don't want any pre-watershed drama any more.

Because, obviously, we don't already have enough quizzes, reality shows and soaps.

But they can't leave it like that? And what are they going to replace it with, more All Star Mr and Mrs? I'd rather watch Hole in the Wall thanks.

I'd rather knock a hole in a wall with my head than watch most of ITV's output.

I must confess I watched that cliffhanger and thought 'oh, right, we won't get any more of this then'. It felt so much like a show that knew it was fucked in terms of renewal but had decided to make those responsible feel guilty about it (and/or be bombarded by, um, copies of S Club 7 cds in an effort to resurrect it) by producing the most cliffhangery ending imaginable.

They could've brought it in at a much smaller budget if they weren't so in love with CGI, tbh. I'm sad, because it really blew me away with the S2 reboot being so damn clever, and they've done some brave smart fun things this year. But ITV can't afford to buy Tesco value TV right now, and this ain't it, alas. (Also I am still bitter about that one where the girls hid in a shed while the boys were heroic and did rescuing, because really ffs, nononofuckoffnow.) Boo in general, though.

Have they offered us a one-off special yet?

(Not that I'm bothered by a cliffhanger where the solution is: Abby and Connor find Helen's dropped anomaly detector/controller, rescue Danny, and they all live happily ever after.)

I'm hoping that the "reliable source" was wrong, or it's ITV winding us up.

Hey, Philip Glennister wasn't supposed to be doing another series of A2A, but he is. I live in [some] hope that this is a similiar case.

Oh dear! This makes me sad. What's the point of having ITV1 on my telly now?
Also...Noooo! THIS MEANS THAT HELEN HAS WON!
Tsk.
