With it only being about 8 weeks until we head off to sunny London to sing along with some Americans singing cover versions I thought it probably about time we start to think about hotels and the like.

This is where I will defer to [livejournal.com profile] doylefan22's superior knowledge of the O2 and surrounding environments. Where's best to stay?

Who's planning on staying over?
Who's coming down on the Friday evening?
What shall we do Saturday evening?
What shall we do on the Sunday? (I personally am voting for the Doctor Who Exhibtion)

(and I coukd do with the ticket money in the next few weeks too, I need to put it towards paying the removal men)

(and I still need to get some Glee icons)

The nearest set of hotels are probably at the Excel center from memory. Although I've stayed at the Premier Inn in Beckton before which is a little further on, nice and relatively well priced (just checked and it came up as £112 for 2 adults sharing/2 nights). It's about 20mins on the tube/dlr from the O2.

I'll happily stay if it works out cheaper than me getting the train up and down twice.

Saturday evening I would suggest a meal in one of the many restaurants in the O2 once the evening people have gone in.

Sunday - DW sounds good!

I have no idea how long I'm planning on being in london for. I've got a really expensive couple of months coming up so not sure I can manage two nights.

PS can you text or pm me what I owe you for ticket?

Me and pinkfairy717 (who's in the other group that I'm going with, lol) will be heading back pretty much straight afterwards. She'll be coming 'cos I can't wheel myself in the 'chair, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to be wiped out after a stadium event.

Which sucks, 'cos it means I won't actually see that much of people, but I don't cope well in crowded, loud restaurants - I get very tired very quickly. But yeah. Still looking forward to seeing everyone though.

BTW ex-Cheddar is going to have a massive 2nd birthday present from me. My stock of crocheted play food is now...extensive!

I'll be coming down, screaming at the Glee guys (and you all) and returning post haste my corner of the country. Oh, and going on holiday the next day - we had to change our dates as I suddenly remembered that I had this trip to look forward to!

If you're considering the hotels near to the Excel centre, my sister and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express at Canning Town - it's a couple of stops away from Excel and was affordable compared to anything closer while the SFX Event was on there...
