His Lordship is watching the Masterchef final at the moment. For some reason when he watches the show we get a running commentary of "wanker, wanky, what a dickish thing to do" etc etc. Cooking doesn't get more sweary than this indeed.

Grimm
Still sticking with it, although it's still not really grabbing me. I don't like the Nick all that much, although Monroe is still the awesome.

Castle
Oh I love Castle more than I love pie (and I loves me pie). I'm watching it on Alibi so I'm only two episodes in, please don't spoil me!

Lost Girl
I really like this show, Kenzie is by far my favourite and I love her hair so much. Really I should pay more attention to the plot than the costumes and props. Dyson is referred to as Chris Martin by His Lordship (and this series he's almost as whiny)

The Vampire Diaries
Probably my second favourite show of the year. So much happens each week, no dragging things out, which is ace.

Fringe
By far my favourite show of the year. Still making Quantum Leap jokes when watching it, even this far into the series. Still awful at playing spot the Observer. John Noble deserves all the awards.

The Secret Circle
it's a bit of a guilty pleasure but even this is starting to improve story-wise. In some areas anyway. The witch hunter plot can go do one, for all I care.

Glee
I only watch it for the songs now. The characterisation is so inconsistent from episode to episode, it's really frustrating. Look at Sue, she's nice (and I don't mean to Becky, I mean to everyone else) it's not right!

The Mentalist
My Friday evening veg on the sofa telly. Not much doing with the Red John storyline at the moment which makes me think it's going to really blow up again.

True Blood
I am having issues with this series already. Mostly with Jason and the way it's been handled by the writers (i.e. poorly). This displeases me as the show is supposed to be so much better. And from what I hear it doesn't improve. Arlene's kid is the cutest little thing though.

Being Human
George and Mitchell who? (Naw, not really) I wish I could pull off talking in action hero clichés all the time.

That's an awful lot of telly, and I sort of watch a pile of other shows too. And I do all this telly watching after ex-Cheddar goes to bed. Where do I find the time?

Hotel1 night2 nights
Premier Inn - Docklands£89.00£198.00
Ibis Docklands£105£187.00
Crown Plaza Docklands£90.00£226.00
Travelodge London City£65.80£121.50

Ibis Excel has no rooms available on 24-25th (probably because it's already full of Gleeks)

The Travelodge is looking our best bet but it does mean having to have either a double or a family room. But as there's now very little available in the way of hotels (and even the hostels are filling up)

If I can get someone to share with me I'll book for two nights and come down on the Friday, if not I'll have to be up at the absolute crack of dawn Saturday morning to catch the first train from the Shire. If anyoone does fancy sharing please can you let me know tomorrow because I want to get everything booked by Thursday so that it can be one less thing to worry about. (I've got enough stresses as it is at the moment).

With it only being about 8 weeks until we head off to sunny London to sing along with some Americans singing cover versions I thought it probably about time we start to think about hotels and the like.

This is where I will defer to [livejournal.com profile] doylefan22's superior knowledge of the O2 and surrounding environments. Where's best to stay?

Who's planning on staying over?
Who's coming down on the Friday evening?
What shall we do Saturday evening?
What shall we do on the Sunday? (I personally am voting for the Doctor Who Exhibtion)

(and I coukd do with the ticket money in the next few weeks too, I need to put it towards paying the removal men)

(and I still need to get some Glee icons)

In all the excitement about selling my house I forgot to say:

Our tickets have come!! Woot!
kaliha: (Default)

Tickets are booked! Ladies please be bringing your binoculars as we're in block 418.

Just so you know: the evening gig was all sold out so they put on a 12.30 matinee as well on the saturday and that's what we're going too. So is [livejournal.com profile] doylefan22's group so we're still going together.

Any questions?

Hey flist who wants to go and see Glee in the summer?

I've been talking to [livejournal.com profile] flipbfc and she's up for it and I believe Sparks is planning on going too? (what date are you going?) Makes sense for us all to go at the same time.
