July 15th, 2010 08:27 pmLiveJournal have finally made a statement about deleting and purging accounts that they've been going on about for ages. However, it doesn't appear to be all good news.
If you have a journal that's not been logged into or updated for over 24 months it will be purged and the ground salted. (This means my original journal, that I lost the password for will be gone). The usernames will then become available for you to create/rename.
