Pissing Computers!
May 1st, 2007 05:52 pmExternal Hard Drives are more trouble than they are worth. My second one has gone now. And it looks like exactly the same thing that knackered the first one (the usb bridge/driver corrupting) - only problem is is that this one is 9 days outside it's twelve month warranty. ARGH!
I've not lost *everything* this time. I backed up eight DVDs of stuff when the last one went tits up, but I've still got probably six months of stuff that could be lost beyond repair.
I'm going to have to take it around to His Lordship's Dad tomorrow to see if he can retrieve anything from it at all.
Recommendations for any external hard drives? I'm going to put my birthday money towards a new one now.
